Packaging Contest Brief
I am looking for a fresh, unique PET (plastic) bottle design concept for a super premium refrigerated fruit juice brand.
This is a multi-serve bottle of juice and designers should create with a 48-64oz volume in mind. These are the standard sizes for refrigerated juice in the U.S. I am looking for a unique bottle design. I prefer not to dictate bottle dimensions, however as a general rule Approx. measurements of bottles this size are:
- Height: 9-11 inches (23-28cm)
- Width: 3.5-5 inches (9-13cm)
- Depth: 3.5-5 inches (9-13cm)
Our juices feature a variety of "superfruits" like acai, pomegranate, goji berries and more. These fruits come from exotic spots all over the world and have amazing nutritional and healing properties and best of all the juices taste amazing.
Because of these attributes our juice is priced at a notable premium to other fruit juices on the same shelf, such as orange juice. Unfortunately, our bottle does not adequately convey the superiority and premium quality of the product inside.
I would like to see creative, yet practical transparent plastic bottle designs which will make our brand stand out from the competition (I've attached images of relatively new and unique bottles from competitors like Simply Orange, POM Wonderful and more).
The design should consider and address the following elements:
- Size (hieght, width, depth)
- Bottle ornamentation (embossing, curves, cap color)
- Practicality (is it easy to hold, pour, fit on shelf,
won't easily tip)
Designers should pay particular attention to the relationship between bottle and label.
The winning design will thoughtfully consider and address all the criteria above while effectively communicating:
- straight-from-the-farm freshness
- small batch production
- enticing flavors
